Lutheran Church Planning For Vacation Bible School

MONROE — Area children between the ages of 4 and 14 are invited to 2011 Vacation Bible School at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

This year’s VBS will be the week of August 1–5, meeting each day from 9 am to 4 pm. Expertly trained counselors from Camp Calumet Lutheran in Freedom, N.H., will be at Good Shepherd for the week to provide a professional program in partnership with church leaders.

At VBS, children and youth laugh a lot as they go through the day, learning more about themselves, each other, and God. Counselors and church leaders strive to show children in learning groups as well as through arts and crafts and games and singing that God loves them.

Tuition is $100, there is a half-day option for ages 4–5 at $50, and scholarships are available. Membership in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is not necessary to attend.
