Loveable Leo

To the Editor:

Just a note to let people know that last Friday I adopted Leo, the “pitbull” who has been at the Newtown pound for a year now.

Leo is quite a character, very sweet and obedient, and so cute I can’t stand it. He walks great on the leash, comes when I call him, and makes me laugh whenever he looks up at me with that goofy face. Everybody who passed him by missed out on a really great dog.

I want to thank Animal Control Officer Carolee Mason, kennel keeper Matt Schaub, Sue the trainer, any and all other pound employees and all of the Canine Advocates volunteers who spend countless hours walking the dogs. I can’t imagine how Leo would be after a year in the pound without all your care and kindness.

You guys are the best!
