Gosselin

Founded Connecticut State Championship For Range Shooters

Gregory “Greg” F. Gosselin, 50, of Stratford, the beloved son of Lorraine Baduini Gosselin, died May 18, at Bridgeport Hospital, with his devoted family by his side. He was born in Bridgeport, November 20, 1960.

In addition to his beloved mother, of Fairfield, Mr Gosselin is also survived by three siblings, including David R. Gosselin, and wife Catherine, of Sandy Hook; two nephews; and an aunt. He was predeceased by his father, Frank.

Mr Gosselin was a self-employed mechanic at the Post Parkway Service of Stratford for many years. He was an ESP and SSP master shooter, and chief safety officer and range master. In 2007, he traveled abroad to shoot in the European and Italian Championships, where he was instrumental in bringing the New England Regionals back to Connecticut and starting the Connecticut State Championship.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the seventh floor nursing staff at Bridgeport Hospital and Mr Gosselin’s three angels, Keely Spada, Karen Davoli, and Kimmy Capozziello, who cared for and comforted him throughout his illness as if he was a member of their own family. He will always be remembered by his friend Travis Yeknom.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 23. Interment was in Mount Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital , PO Box 50, Memphis TN 38101.
