Girls U12

New Milford 2, Hurricanes 0 – Natalie Villa and goaltender Emily Kluga played well on defense, but the ‘Canes fell to New Milford. Cassie David and Jen Brewer kept the pressure on up front as midfielders Haley Keane and Danielle Norris had strong performances.

Girls U11

Power 4, Danbury 1 – Nicole Davis scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Power rolled to the win. Christina Caporale and Molly Mahony added goals of their own. Cristina Naldini, Jessica Jowdy and Kelley Gaston had assists. Katherine Scott played well at midfield and Brooke Leifels played well at defense.

Southbury 2, Power 1 – The Power unleashed 11 shots on goal and had four corner kicks in the second half, but were unable to rally for the win. Allie Korchman scored the lone Newtown goal on an assist from Cassie Fallon. Maddie Keane and Meaghan Carney played strong in the midfield, Abbie Keough played tough defense and Kendall Svanda was outstanding in goal.

Boys U11

Crusaders 1, Danbury 0 – Adam Ellison scored the lone goal off a beautiful cross by Conrad Normann to lead Newtown to the win. Sean Burson and Andre Capozziello provided offensive support. Greg Campbell and Justin Brophy were a defensive wall and Jason Marks was tough in the net.

Girls U10

Southbury 3, Flash 1 – Tressa Scott, Kristen Grabowski, Christina Gould, Jenna Hindes and Bridget Powers played well for the Flash in a loss to Southbury.

Boys U10

Cobras 3, Middlebury 0 – Connor Quinn, Francis Saraceni and Nick Barreto scored goals to lift the Cobras to the win. Stephen Conway, Eric Fiore and Chris Erikson aided the attack while Pieter Martino and Andrew Kelley were solid on both sides of the field. Sean Elliott was solid in the net.

IN-TOWN

Girls U14

Pink Ladies 3, Turkeys 3 – Alyssa Carey, Nicole Grillo and Ashley Rothachev scored for the Ladies as Kayla Buckley, Alex Scarpa and Erica Woloszynski scored for the Turkeys in this deadlock.

Huskies 2, Pink Ladies 1 – Becky Whitney scored the second of her two goals with 30 seconds left in the game to lead the Huskies to the win. Mitra Kasturi and Nicole Vournazos each had assists. Michelle DiBlasio, Isabel Gleason and Gabrielle Milano all played excellent in goal. For the Pink Ladies, Meghan Bridges scored a goal as Julia Klucik and Margot Isaacs excelled at midfield. Jenna Bonaccorso and Ashley Davis played well on defense.

Boys U14

Strikers 4, Blue Monkeys 1 – Harrison Gillis scored two goals and Kevin Carney scored one to lead the Strikers. Andrew Haas and Tyler Hanna played well on defense. For the Monkeys, Ryan Ames scored while Jordan Mathurin, Brendan O’Connell, Tommie Stewart and Patrick Shirley had great games.

Girls U10

Crusaders 3, Fire Kickers 0 – Kelsey Karp scored twice and Lindsey Pearlman scored once to lead the Crusaders past the Kickers. Katie Shirley played well and Emily Albrecht was great in defense. For the Kickers, Dana Bowers and Maddy Good were strong up front while Holly Champagne and Libby DiDomizio did a super job in midfield.

Crusaders 2, Jawbreakers 0 – Katie Shirley and Kelsey Karp scored the goals that lifted the Crusaders to the win. Allison Blume and Kira Reed each had a good game. For the ‘Breakers, Maddie Durso, Megan O’Connell, Abby Blakeman and Sarah Stofko had strong games.

Fireballs 4, Mighty Tigers 0 – Alex Klein scored a pair of goals as Tami Corsi and Hannah Maret scored one apiece to lead the ‘Balls past the Tigers. Clare Donnelly played a very strong game, dishing out one assist. Claire Benson and Caroline Kingsley of the Tigers led the offensive drives as and Mallory Reilly and Alyssa Finkenstadt played exceptionally strong defense.

Boys U10

Blue Dragons 1, Eagles 0 – Stephen Jarvis scored the lone goal to lead the Blue Dragons. Ben Galassi played a good game on wing. Alec Ravana was strong on D and Sean Watkins played well in the goal. For the Eagles, Garrett Cebry was strong on the front line while David Tortora and Nathan Norwich combined for a tough defense. Tyler Ruefenacht had a good day in goal.

Mud Monkeys 6, Wolverines 2 – Jake Tolson had a strong game in net and helped himself out with a second-half goal to lead the Monkeys to the win. Connor Anderson scored a goal as Jimmy Mooney anchored the D and Niles Wilson played well on the wing. For the Wolverines, Trevor Carey and Thomas Healy both scored off assists from Brandon Marks. Patrick Milano had a strong all-around game.

Wildfire 1, Pink Muffins 0 – Stefan Dullinger scored the lone goal to lead the Wildfire to the win. Chris Arnone and Robbie Beier provided strong support up front. Peter Kerns had a super game on D. For the Pink Muffins, Pat Thornburg and Josh Schuette played well on offense while Pat Haggerty was key on defense. Goalie Pat Riccardi had some solid saves.

Girls U8

Panthers 4, Cheetahs 0 – Sophie Johnston scored two goals and Amy and Casey each had one for the Panthers. Tricia Sullivan played a great game at midfield. Cate Haggerty, Susan Ziegler and Hannah Schneiderman all played well for the Cheetahs.

Firekickers 4, Firefeet 0 – Dana Bowers notched a pair of goals as Jennifer van Veen and Kelly van Veen scored a goal apiece to lead the ‘Kickers to the win. Libby DiDomizio was great in midfield. For the ‘Feet, Emily Dion played very well in goal as Nina Pedalino, Katie Peters and Julie LaPerch played well in the field.

Ball Hogs 5, Shockers 2 – Sarah Lynch and Anna Northrop powered the Ball Hog offense in its win over the Shockers. Serena Kiss and Kayleigh Shambelan played well. For the Shockers, Meghan Meyer and Kate Fallon scored as Alexa Reilly and Elizabeth Helmig anchored the D.

Shooting Stars 5, Bulldogs 3 – Brooke Newton scored three goals and Meg Korchman added two as the Shooting Stars slipped past the Bulldogs. Megan Milano and Kailee Dunnigan had strong performances. For the ‘Dogs, Nicole O’Leary scored two goals and Emma Burns added one. Tanner Tardie, Emily Sippin and Aine Duffy each played well.

Cheetah Champions 4, Strikers 0 – Lindsay Jagoe scored two goals on assists from Karlie Kuligowski to lead the Cheetah Champions. Kuligowski and Cassie Fischer also scored for the Cheetahs. Gabrielle DeBartolomeo played a tough defense and Christina DeBartolomeo did a great job on goal. For the Strikers, Emily Grimes and Elizabeth Charash led the attack for the offense. Mary Kate Sandler and Taylor Brinker defended the goal with the help of Casey Harkins on D.
