Trails Day At Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT — As part of National Trails Day and Connecticut Trails Day, Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is planning its own Trails Day celebration of a special day devoted to parks and trails on Saturday, June 4.

Visitors will be invited to join members of the zoo’s education staff for a walk through the adjoining Beardsley Park to learn about wetlands and the importance of “green” space in landscape architecture. Participants will also visit a wildlife pond and hear how zoo staff is helping to protect native amphibians.

There is no charge for the program, and participation in the walk does not include admission to the zoo.
