Spring Bird Walks At Kellogg
DERBY â The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protectionâs Kellogg Environmental Center is offering bird walks on the first and third Saturday of the month for new and experienced birders and families.
Kellogg Environmental Center volunteer Jay Connolly will conduct the morning walks in search of early spring migrants arriving at the Kellogg Estate and Osbornedale State Park.
For the June 4 program at Kellogg Environmental Center, meet the walk leader at the parking lot on Hawthorne Avenue at 7:30 am.
Participants should meet at Picketts Pond at Osbornedale State Park on Saturday, June 18, at 7:30 am.
Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and field guides, although a limited number of each will be available. Osbornedale State Park/Kellogg Estate Bird Checklists will be provided free to participants.
The Kellogg Environmental Center is adjacent to Osbornedale State Park in Derby. These programs are free and registration is not required.
