NYS Benefit Concert Was The Best Yet

On behalf of Newtown Youth Services I would like to extend a sincere thank you to The Hat City Blues Band for the gift of their time, talent, and support.
The third Annual Hat City Blues Band Benefit Concert held on Saturday, May 21, was the best yet. Over $3,000 was raised to help NYS continue its mission. A special thank you to David Lott who solicited so many donations, sponsorships, and prizes.
The Fireside Inn was rocking for almost four hours. People who had not hit a dance floor in years were on their feet moving to the beat of terrific blues and jazz. Band members David Lott, Ed Pryzby, Ron Caruso, Gary LeVan, and Bill Morris were outstanding. An additional highlight of the evening was guest performances from members of other Newtown bands.
The large enthusiastic crowd certainly had a great time. But, perhaps, members of the Middle School Youth Advisory Board had the most fun. Tina Hartlett, Dylan Kelleher, Natasha Kokoszka, and Samantha and Stephanie Villa practically ran the show. They took tickets, sold raffles, made announcements, and delivered prizes to the lucky winners. It was truly wonderful to see the âyouthâ taking such an active part in a Newtown Youth Services event!
The Hat City Blues Band provided us with an evening of great entertainment and financial support. Newtown Youth Services applauds you!
