Mary J. Kozak, 73, wife of John E. Kozak, Jr, of Reynolds Place, Bethel, died May 24 in Harborside Healthcare-Glen Hill, Danbury.
A resident of Bethel for 40 years, she previously lived in Newtown.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on September 30, 1931 a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary May (Teehan) Romard. Mrs Kozak was retired from Risdon in Danbury where she worked for more than 20 years. She was an avid bingo player and was a member of many bowling leagues.
In addition to her husband, Mrs Kozak is survived by a son, John E. Kozak of Denham Springs, La.; and by a daughter, Joan Hudson of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Gloria Velotti of Pennsylvania and Marge Bouton of Gaylordsville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 27, at 11 am in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 am.
