Hazel Eileen Falconer, 81, a longtime resident of Newtown, died peacefully May 21, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, at Masonicare at Newtown. She was born November 24, 1933, in Harris, Minn., and was a daughter of the late Edith (Carlson) and Victor Ramberg.

Mrs Falconer was employed as a nurse’s aide at Buckingham Gardens (now Masonicare at Newtown), for more than 20 years.

Three sons, Mitch Falconer of Southbury, Barry Falconer of Carmel, N.Y., and Eric Falconer, and his wife Wanda, and granddaughter Hanna Falconer, all of Oxford, survive Mrs Falconer. Two sisters, Jeanette Lokken and Delorah Peterson of Minnesota, also survive her. She was predeceased by her husband, Ward Falconer; and two brothers, Warren Ramberg and Harland Ramberg.

Calling hours will take place Tuesday, May 26, from 5 to 8 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A graveside service will take place Wednesday, May 27, at 11 am, at Newtown Village Cemetery, Elm Drive.
