Roberta Granchelli Magnante, age 82, of Newtown, formerly of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on May 24. She will be missed by her husband of 61 years, Frank Magnante; their four children, Dawn Meyerski (Jim Meyerski), JoAnn LiVolsi (Tom Friary), Frank Magnante, Jr, (Cherie Magnante), and Chris Magnante (Lori Magnante); her nine grandchildren, Jamie, Stephen, Justin, TJ, Jason, Frankie, Nick, Joseph, and Minda; and two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Jaxson.

Roberta loved spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. She enjoyed her winters in Florida. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing mahjong, loved the excitement of the casinos, and she was an amazing cook. She had a life full of love and loved living life.

Visitation will be held at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Thursday, May 27, between the hours of 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, at 10:30 am at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown.
