City Center Grand Prix
The City Center Grand Prix â a race for miniature cars attained speeds of 25 miles an hour â will be held on June 8 on the streets of Danbury. The Grand Prix will be the focal point of a daylong festival on the Danbury green featuring food, kids games, racecar displays, and live music. WRKI-FM (I-95) will present the festival, which will benefit the American Red Cross of Western Connecticut.
Hat City Cyclefest
The 11th annual Hat City Cyclefest will be held Sunday, June 8, rain or shine, starting at Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury. Register there from 7 to 11 am. There will be routes ranging from five to 103 miles, all supported by SAG wagons. This is not a race. There will be rest stops with food and water. Helmets are required for all riders.

WCSU Basketball Camp
The womenâs basketball program at Western Connecticut State University will be sponsoring its 2003 Girlsâ Basketball Hoop Camp July 28 through August 1, 9 am to 3:30 pm each day. Learn to Row
The New Haven Rowing Club will hold classes for men and women starting Saturday, June 14, and Monday, June 16. There will 12 on the water sessions (90 minutes each) for four weeks at the Boathouse on the Housatonic River. Cost is $160. Golf For MADD
MADD will hold a âDrive One Home For Maddâ on Saturday, June 14, 10 am to 5 pm, at Golf Quest on 1 Sand Cut Road in Brookfield. There will be family fun activities and golf and baseball contests. There will be longest drive, iron accuracy, putting, chipping and miniature golf contests as well as home run and fastest pitch contests. Prizes will be awarded.
