Meals On Wheels Says Thanks

On behalf of Newtown Meals-on-Wheels thank you and especially Kaaren Valenta for the comprehensive coverage of its May 7 Appreciation Coffee for drivers.

This year Newtown Meals-on-Wheels would like to reiterate a plea to Bee readers from Mrs Valenta’s article: if you know anyone who might benefit from a daily meal call recipient coordinator Ellyn Gehrett at 426-8436 or Nancy Lavin at 426-8971.

Volunteer drivers are always needed. If you can help, please call Colleen Honan at 426-0714.

Thank you to honored guests Selectman Joe Bojanowski and Tom Gutnar, Ashlar president. Ashlar prepares the meals and sees that all goes smoothly for recipients and drivers.
