Health, Cholesterol Screenings

At Jewish Center

SOUTHBURY — A health and wellness screening is being offered on Thursday, May 29, from 9 until 11 am, at The Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North.

Sponsored by Valley Parish Nurses of Griffin Hospital, the program includes blood pressure check, diabetic screening, stroke assessment, and an optional cholestoral screening.

The cholesterol screening is free for Southbury residents and $10 for residents of other towns. That test is for people who are 18 years of age or over, have not had cholesterol checked in the past year, are not pregnant.and have not had surgery within the past six months. Fasting is not necessary.

This program is made possible by a grant from Southbury Community Foundation. As space is limited, participants are requested to sign up in advance by calling Debby Horowitz at 267-3177, extension 105.
