Elizabeth Anne Beers to Pankaj Kataria

Mr and Mrs David Beers of Toddy Hill Road, Sandy Hook, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Beers, to Pankaj Kataria of Ossining, N.Y.

Ms Beers works for Saks Fifth Avenue as a sales and training analyst while pursuing a career in opera. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a bachelor of music degree, did graduate work to earn her performance certificate from Eastman, and has performed in many operas. She will be attending master classes this summer in Dijon, France.

Mr Kataria works for LeCroy as an electrical engineer. He has a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. His undergraduate work was done at the University of Delhi, India, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in instrumentation and control engineering.

The couple plans to be married in the spring of 2005.
