Aldonia ‘Dawny’ Fainer

Aldonia “Dawny” Fainer, 77, wife of John Fainer, of Tracy Terrace, Seymour, and lifelong Valley resident, died at home on May 18.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her daughter, Gail Miranti of Sandy Hook; son, John J. Fainer of Seymour; two sisters, Lillian Schaer of Prospect and Dell Poulin of Naugatuck; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Karen Restagno; and one brother, Victor Stasonis.

Funeral services were held on May 21 from the Jenkins King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from Assumption Church, Ansonia.
