Children Programs: Young Adult Volunteers
Young Adults, entering grade 6 and who are interested in volunteering for the libraryâs summer reading program should attend an organizational meeting, Wednesday, May 31 at 6:30 pm in the childrenâs department.
Last year young adults earned volunteer credit listening to younger children report on the books they were reading over the summer. Participation in this program provides a valuable service to the library and the children who sign up for the reading program. Call the library at 426-3851 to register. Pizza will be served and details worked out for the summer volunteer schedule. You must attend this meeting and a training session to be eligible to volunteer this summer, so mark your calendars!
Donât miss the fire truck exhibit that is currently on display in the childrenâs room. R.D. Nosal is sharing his collection.
