Family Nature Walk At Devil’s Den

WESTON — The entire family is invited to take part in a family nature walk at the 1,756-acre Devil’s Den Preserve on Sunday, June 4, from 1 to 3 pm to celebrate the start of summer. Owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy and located at the end of Pent Road in Weston, The Den is the largest nature preserve in southwestern Connecticut and offers over 21 miles of hiking trails featuring various historical displays.

Visitors are encouraged to take this short, general tour to familiarize themselves with the woodlands, to see the abundant mountain laurel which is getting ready to bloom, and to learn a bit about the human and natural history at the preserve from trained natural history guides Betsy Neuburg and Howard Pierpont.

There is no charge for this program, but reservations are required. Interested participants should call The Den at 203/226-4991 weekdays for registration, directions, or additional information.
