NYS Summer Programs

TWO NEW PROGRAMS AND TWO BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND:

“SPORTS +”: For the week of June 19-23, explore a different sport each session (soccer, basketball, flag football, kayak, racing, crazy water and field sports, swimming and more). Time: 5-7:30 pm, Dickinson Park. Fee: $35 for all five sessions. Limit: Open to all students entering grades 6-8.

“SUPER SITTERS BABYSITTING COURSE – Five Sessions in Five Days!” Two separate courses will be offered the week of June 19. We will meet each day for five days. The first session will run from 12 to 1:30 pm, and the second will meet from 3 to 4:30 pm. Class size is limited. Snacks are provided. Fee is $25.

“NATURE DETECTIVES” and “THE GREAT OUTDOORS” nature programs at Cullens Memorial, June 26-30. For children entering grades K-2 (9-10:30 am) and 3-5 (10:45-12:15 pm). This year’s program will focus on life cycles (water, seeds, animals and more!). Fee: $25 for the week.

“OUTDOOR CHALLENGE – DAY HIKE:” Wednesday, June 28, from 9 am to 6 pm. Come take a day hike in Cornwall. Have fun outdoors. Learn, or practice, different skills and techniques involved for a successful hike. You’ll prepare dinner (it’s amazing what you can do without a microwave!) and solve various challenges you may encounter as you progress through the day.

Fee is $10 per person (includes food and transportation). Limit 6. Open to students entering 6-12th grade.

Please call the NYS office to register for any of these programs.
