Canine Advocates Seek Volunteers

To the Editor:

Canine Advocates of Newtown, Inc. is in great need of volunteers to assist our dogs at the pound.  Our biggest need is for volunteers to walk and socialize the dogs at the pound. It is a minimal time commitment that greatly benefits the dogs and increases their chances for adoption.

Volunteers are also needed to help post flyers of available dogs at the pound at various businesses around town. We also need help with fund-raising. If you can help with any of these projects or in any other way, please call 426-5327.

 Canine Advocates would like to thank the many local businesses in town that have allowed us to post flyers in their establishments. This has given our pound dogs wonderful exposure to the public. We are also very grateful to all of the caring people who have adopted dogs from the pound. These dogs usually thrive when given a second chance in a loving home. We would love to hear how your pound dogs are doing in their new homes.
