Americo Perlini, 75, of Fairfield died May 20 in his residence.
He is survived by his daughter, Debora (Perlini) Waite and her husband, David, of Newtown.
Mr Perlini was born in Derby and was an area resident most of his life. He was a retired employee for the Handy and Harman Company and Sikorsky Aircraft. He was a World War II Navy veteran and an active member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. He was a member of the Connecticut Model Association. Mr Perlini was a well known builder of model boats, which often were displayed in various museums. He was an active member of the Fairfield Memorial Day parade committee.
Survivors also include his wife, Frances (Caplankas) Perlini of Fairfield; two sons, David R. Perlini of Provincetown, Mass., and Richard A. Perlini and his wife, Kathleen, of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Lena Sersini; one sister-in-law, Helen Johnson of Milford; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held on May 24 from the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue Bridgeport to St Pius X Church, Fairfield, for a mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
