14-15 YEAR OLDS

 

BOTSFORD DRIVE IN 13, POLAND SPRINGS 2: Ryan Chapin singled, doubled, walked, and scored three times to lead Botsford Drive In to the win. Pat Coakley was 2-for-2 with three RBI and two stolen bases and Tyler Hull had a hit and three RBI to pace the offense. Eric O’Donnell, Dan McIlrath, Joey Sgammato, Joe Gantert and Chris Canfield all had hits. Doug Bonjour walked twice and scored a couple of times. For Poland Springs, Tommy Ermini had a double while Alex Rode, James Terhaar, and Gorden Johnson all singled.

BOTSFORD DRIVE IN 12, KEY REALTY 5: Jimmy Dietter went 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI while Greg Britton, Tyler Hull, Chris Canfield and Pat Coakley each had a hit and drove in two runs to fuel the Botsford Drive In offense. Dan McIlrath, Doug Bonjour and Eric O’Donnell scored two runs apiece, as Joe Gantert was the pitching star, striking out seven of the 10 batters he faced to close out the game. The key for Key was Mark Fracker, who singled and blasted a long two-run homer. Sean Surat doubled while Sean Leja and Matt Barackmann each singled.

 

AMERICAN MAJORS

 

FIRESIDE INN 6, A&D SPORTS 4: Bryan Fogelstrom and Mike Tibbetts each went 3-for-3 and Josh Wilson drove in a key run to lead Fireside to the win. Fogelstrom and Tibbetts combined on the mound for the win while Scott Suhoza, Roy Scheuneman and Jeff Fulton were all strong in the field. For A&D, Jesse Furphy doubled and Andrew Chimileski rapped out a pair of hits to lead the offense. Liam Cawley and Josh Powers had great games in the field while Steve Kean, Alex Meisel and Joey Bowen all pitched well.

UNION SAVINGS 10, GRAHAM PAINTING 5: Matt Berquist, Jake Putnicki and Max Barrett drove in runs to lead Graham Painting in a losing effort. JP McDade and Jason Pankowski also hit the ball well while Jon Graham and Ryan McGrath played well.

GRAHAM PAINTING 9, A&D SPORTS 2: Tucker Kass (3-for-4), John Graham (2-for-3) and Matt Berquist (2-for-3) powered a 12-hit attack to lead Graham to the win. Cody Shpunt doubled. Jake Putnicki, Ryan McGrath and Seth Hull all pitched well. McGrath, Kevin Silber and Stephen Moulthrop turned in a nice short-to-first-to-third double play to lead the defense. For A&D, Stephen Kean and Michael Murphy had solid hits while Alex Meisel and Kean pitched well. Shortstop Andrew Chimileski made a nice barehanded catch and throw to lead the defense.

FIRESIDE INN 14, NEWTOWN HARDWARE 11: Shane Huebner and Scott Suhoza each rapped two-run tripled and Mike Tibbetts drove in the game-winning runs in the eighth inning to lead the Fireside. Bryan Fogelstrom, Brian Shimko, Suhoza and Tibbetts shared the pitching duties while Ryan Martin was strong in the field. For Hardware, Joey DeVellis was 4-for-5 while Sean Reilly had a single and two doubles. Brian Duffy had a fine game behind the plate with three put outs and Steve Marks and DeVellis both pitched well.

GRAHAM PAINTING 12, NEWTOWN HARDWARE 1: Tucker Kass, Max Barrett and Cody Shpunt doubled while Matt Berquist (2-for-2), Jason Pankowski, JP McDade and Stephen Moulthrop chipped in with key hits to lead Graham Painting to the win. Kass and Barrett were once again strong in the field while Jake Putnicki and Ryan McGrath shared the mound duties. For Hardware, Stephen Marks singled and tripled and Todd Pierson hit the ball hard. Joey DeVellis and Brendan Reilly also had good offensive games.

 

MINORS DIVISION

 

B&K SEPTIC 12, DHCA 9: Robbie Blanc, Ryan Daly, Alex Kron and Shane Price led B&K while Brian Kuruc, Jeff Spencer, Kevin McCarthy and Walker Lavardera led DHCA.

AUTOMATED SECURITY 9, DENTAL ASSOCIATES 8: Conor Kovatch and Dave Klanica led Automated at the plate while Drew Woods and Mike McCarthy led the defense. For Dental Associates, Christopher Murphy (single and double), Michael Gabor, John Aminti and Ryan Pendergast (two strong innings on the mound) played well.

CURTIS & CRANDON 12, B&K SEPTIC 8: Dan O’Connor (three runs), Brian Cawley (two runs), Cole DePuy (two runs), Ben Federman, Anthony Lucci and James Tibbetts all had strong games for Curtis & Crandon while Tom Mascher, Matt Bobkowski, Joe Drotar and Brendan Wilkins powered B&K.

CONNECTICUT EQUINE PRACTICE 10, CONEHEADS 3: Adam Schankman, Dan Clement, Matthew Baier and Kyle O’Connor all led Connecticut Equine while Jeff DiNicola, Tyler Davenport, Evan Sapienza and Martin Berliou powered the Coneheads.

CONNECTICUT PAIN CARE 13, RIVER CONE 12: Herlof Sorenson banged out three hits and scored three runs to lead CPC to the win. Jared Kloth had three hits and a run scored while George Zaruba and Brendan Kole were solid on defense.

CONNECTICUT PAIN CARE 7, WISVEST 2: Josh Leighton and Brian Grimes collected three hits apiece and Andrew Nichols chipped in with two hits to lead CPC to the victory. Matt Iassogna made some nice plays in the field. For Wisvest, Garrett Sando and Gabriel Blais each went 3-for-3 while Ryan Cahalane not only banged out three hits but pitched two solid innings. Mike Kirk was strong behind the plate.

BASE TECHNOLGIES 11, NORTH ATLANTIC 11: Nick Saviano was 4-for-4 with five RBI to power the Base Technologies offense. Brian Reszoly was 4-for-4 with a triple and Daniel Spencer banged out three hits. Ian Cooper, Vincent DeAngelis and Mike Coyle were excellent in the field. For North Atlantic, Charle LoBosco rapped out a pair of triples while Mickey Fay drove in five runs. Bret LeBlanc, Mackenzie Fuller and Lauren Picerno all played well.

ROOKIE DIVISION

 

CONNECTICUT FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC versus PIZZA VILLA: Max Eckert, Mark Malia, Kyle Moore and Andrew Fischer played well for CFC while Jordan Ashby, Nicholas Dee, Shane Wurtz and Ryan Polo led the Villa.

WENTWORTH LABS versus TRENDSETTERS: Kyle Packer, James Truckle, Brittany Scalzo and Ian Baxter powered Wentworth while Colton Boyd, Kyle Vignone, Theo Hartlett and Brendan Delohery led the Trendsetters.

DANZIGER HOMES versus NEWTOWN INSURANCE: Mike Ruddy and Scott Wekler hit the ball hard while Sean Devaney and JP Smolen anchored the defense to lead Danziger. For Newtown Insurance, Robert Frangione, Kyle McCarthy, Hunter Dolyak and Martin Kappanf led Newtown Insurance.

BISCOE EXCAVATING versus FAMILY HEALTH CARE CENTER: Jonathan Frey and Eric Johnson led the offense while Amanda Swift and Rachel Camejo powered the defense to lead Biscoe. For FHCC, Christal Furphy and Keith Reszoly led the offense as Adam Morehouse and Richard Andreotta led the defense.

DANZIGER HOMES versus WENTWORTH LABS: Mike Tobin and JP Stanton smacked the ball to all fields and Bryan Purus and Sean Kennedy were strong in the field to lead Danziger. For Wentworth, Matthew Gemnovese and Jan Kpcik led the offense as Stephen Franze and Brittany Scalzo were strong in the field.

FAMILY HEALTH CARE CENTER versus NEWTOWN INSURANCE: Eric Hoffman and Andrew Bonto led the offense while Josh Engler and Bobby Masher led the defense for Family Health Care. For Newtown Insurance, Dave Kreshpan and Josh Zimmerman hit the ball well as Garrett Baker and Garrett Quinn had fine performances in the field.
