Marion W. Marston, 98, a resident of Masonicare at Newtown and formerly of Norwalk, died peacefully May 20, in her sleep. She was born on April 16, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Agnes Marie and Robert Walberg.

Her son, Robert, and his wife, Nancy, of Newtown; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins, with whom she was very close, survive her.

Her husband, Raymond Marston, Jr, whom she lived with in Norwalk for more than 60 years; and her beloved younger sister, Madelyn Lincoln, predeceased her.

While living in Norwalk, Mrs Marston worked part-time at Gregory's Store and was a longtime member of the St Jerome Parish. Her loved ones say she was a wonderful mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs Marston was an avid musician and continued to play her saxophone into her 90s. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 24, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, from 9:30 to 10:30 am; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Jerome's Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, at 11 am. Burial will immediately follow the church service at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mrs Marston's memory to the American Heart Association at donatenow.heart.org or PO Box 3049, Syracuse NY 13220-3049.
