Gremlins 13, Ramblers 12: The best game of the season was first up, with an incredible display of defense. For the first time this year, both teams failed to score more than twice each. Lexy âPrimetimeâ Leidlein and Tess Davenport took the Gremlins defense to a new level with every crushing tackle from there linebacker positions. Lexy, Juan Robago, Zack âAttackâ Tumminia and Nicolai LaPierre all had fumble recoveries to help stop the other team from scoring. In the last minute of the game, the Gremlins seemed to have it in hand and needed to run the clock out. The Ramblers had another idea. They gave it all they had on the snap and caused a loose ball. The Ramblers pounced on it. The next play Nicolai would not be denied as he broke tackles and found the end zone. This physical contest finally came to a head when the exhausted Gremlins took one last defensive stand to preserve the win and came up big. When the smoke cleared, the Gremlins took the win home. Jack Muligan and Nicolai both snagged touchdowns for the Ramblers. Michael Stirk put up two touchdowns and the extra point for the Gremlins that made the difference in the game.

Rebels 34, Avengers 25: Again the Rebels got a fast start but found themselves trying to hold onto the win. The Rebels capitalized on mistakes to snag three quick TDs to start the game. What looked to be a blowout got the crowd on their feet as the Avengers battled back into the game. DJ Lorenco and Steve Moccio helped turned the game around. The Avengers defense stiffened up and the offense was running on all cylinders to climb back to within three points. Michael Murgatroyd was all over the field this week as he collected the most tackles for the Avengers and helped them make a great comeback. But, in the last few moments Liam Garison made a great TD saving tackle to keep the surging Avengers from the end zone and ultimately preserved the win. The Rebels took over on downs, and on the very first snap, the Avengers plowed forward and broke the play up, resulting in a fumble in which the Rebelsâ QB Donaven Bianchi recovered. Donaven scooped up the ball, found a hole, then took off 40 yards to seal the victory for the Rebels.

Crushers 45, Predators 40: This weekâs matchup was yet another offensive display from both teams. Amassing 85 points, these two teams are powerhouses in the AFL. Austin Babyack, Jacob Moore, and Jared Huber all had four or more TDs this week. Jared also had an interception that kept the Predators from scoring again. On the very last play of the game, the Crushers squeaked into the end zone with no time left on the clock. Another dramatic, crowd pleasing, last-second win.
