Thank You For A Successful Armed Forces Day Jamboree
Thank You For A Successful Armed Forces Day Jamboree
To the Editor:
The Annual Armed Forces Day Town Hall Jamboree was held last weekend at Edmond Town Hall gymnasium.
Again this year it was very successful. Every half hour some door prizes were given out and with the wide variety, it was fun watching people make choices.
We had around 35 veterans from all branches of our armed services, to whom we paid tribute. All told, around 150 people attended.
This year Charter Communications taped the jamboree and it will be shown beginning this weekend. Air dates are Sunday, May 23, at 11 am and 7 pm; Wednesday, May 26, at 11:30 am; and Friday, June 4, at 11 am, on Charter CommunityVision (channel 21).
Iâd like to also thank all of the local businesses and individuals who helped make this yearâs jamboree a success through their various forms of sponsorship: Botsford Drive In, Carminuccioâs Pizza, Cayer Chiropractic, Charter Communications, Edmond Town Hall, Fair Auto Supply, Fireside Inn, Monroe Nails, Newtown Exxon, Newtown Car Care, Newtown Cleaners, Newtown Pizza Place, Sandy Hook Diner, The Toy Tree, 100 Church Hill, World of Bikes, Yankee Discount Liquor, Waltâs Barber Shop, The Little Green Barn, Pet Connection, and The Newtown Bee.
Sincerely,
Marty Maciag
