BROOKFIELD — Escape to the Arts announces “A Room With a View,” a tour of ten homes and gardens in Brookfield scheduled for Thursday, May 27, from 10 am to 2 pm. 

The ten homes include several antique properties of historical importance and some homes of unique architectural interest.  There are also spectacular contemporary homes located on Brookfield’s two lakes. All of the homes have special views of gardens, waterfronts or rolling hills.

Ticket prices are $45 ($35 for Regional Y members). Tickets are available at Escape to the Arts, 293 Main Street in Danbury; telephone 794-1413. All ticket holders are eligible for a drawing of artwork, pottery or classes at Escape to the Arts.

Escape to the Arts, a division of the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut, is a center for the humanities located in downtown Danbury. With an emphasis on visual and performing arts, curriculum includes painting, pottery, woodworking, sculpture, acting, dancing, fabric arts and writing classes given by professional artists and performers.

Students range from toddlers to seniors. After-school classes are reserved for Danbury middle school students, who may attend at no fee.
