Impressive Young Adults
Impressive Young Adults
To the Editor:
Just recently I had the pleasure to serve on an interview committee for the Newtown Scholarship Association. Our group interviewed 22 Newtown High School seniors. These young adults were from a cross section of academic, social, and economic backgrounds. Their college plans included everything from Ivy League to local community colleges.
As different as they were, these Newtown High School seniors had at least two things in common. First, they were wonderful, passionate, articulate, and respectful young adults. (Quite frankly, these kids were amazing!) Second, these seniors had great things to say about Newtown High School and the teachers and staff members there.
Hats off to these kids, their families, and to Newtown High School for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Murtha, President
