The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will have Susan Pecora painting in watercolor at its next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, at 1:30 pm. Her subject will be a landscape.

The demonstration will take place in the lower level of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole). The public is invited to attend, free of charge.

Susan Tilton Pecora has been painting the streets and seaports of New England since she was a child on her dad's boat. She exhibits and sells her work nationally through galleries and art associations throughout the world.

Ms Pecora is a signature member of The New England Watercolor Society and hosted the PBS affiliate show Reflections Through Watercolor which had her painting scenes on location all over New England for the WGBY television audience.

Her work has also been featured in American Artist magazine and the book Splash 7 The Best in Watercolor. In addition, 13 of her paintings of farms were used to create the Calendar for Willie Nelson’s Farm Aid, and she also designed and painted an ornament for the White House Christmas Tree.

Ms Pecora gives painting demonstrations throughout the country, and teaches workshops at her studio in western Massachusetts.

She is represented by Bakker Art & Antiques in Provincetown and new work is always featured at The Lobster Pot Restaurant in Provincetown. To view more of her work visit her Facebook page Susan Tilton Pecora Art or visit her website, susanpecora.com.

Reservations are not needed for SCAN programs, but additional information is available by calling 203-426-6654.
