Warrant

Police report that on May 17 they arrested Amanda Jacobs, 23, of Kensington on a warrant, charging her with third-degree forgery and with attempted sixth-degree larceny.

Police said the charges stem from a December 2010 incident in which Jacobs allegedly attempted to cash a forged check.

After processing, police released Jacobs on a written promise to appear on June 2 in Danbury Superior Court.

South Main Crash

A two-vehicle head-on collision occurred about 10:51 pm on May 15 on South Main Street, near its intersection with Bears Hill Road.

Police said motorist Daniel Toth, 21, of Bethel was driving a 2000 Nissan Maxima sedan northward on South Main Street, as motorist Eramimomdas Neto, 29, no address given, was driving a 2000 Ford minivan southward there.

The two vehicles then collided head-on, police said. Both drivers were transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said.  Botsford firefighters responded to the accident.

The accident is under investigation, police said.
