Blanche Mary (Miklaszewski) Maroto, 83, died Wednesday, May 18. She was born in Dixon City, Penn., June 16, 1927, the daughter of Mary (Lidowski) and Zigmund Miklaszewski. She was the wife of the late Joseph Maroto.

Mrs Maroto is survived by four children, including Dr Jo-Ann J. Soltis, and her husband Dr Robert Soltis, of Newtown; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved cousin, Adeline Urbanowicz. Mrs Maroto especially enjoyed spending holidays with her family, watching the Yankees with her daughter Lisa, and trips to Mohegan Sun.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Bethel Health Care who provided exceptional care to Blanche.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 20, from 5 to 8 pm at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Funeral services for Mrs Maroto will take place Saturday, May 21, at 10 am, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage Street, Danbury, with burial following at St Peter Cemetery.
