Despite the best laid plans, a fundraising event this weekend is off.

Due to low reservations, the Spaghetti Dinner at Newtown United Methodist Church planned for Saturday, May 20, has been canceled.

Organizers tell The Newtown Bee they are reaching out to anyone who had made a reservation.

They hope to try again in the fall.
