A Victim Of Coronavirus: Annual Friends of C.H. Booth Library Summer Book Sale Canceled
The Friends of the C. H. Booth Library announces that the 2020 Annual Friends of the C. H. Booth Library Book Sale will not be held this July. It would have been the 45th annual sale, and one that is the Friends’ biggest fundraiser each year.
“Only a pandemic could stop this dedicated group from putting on the summer book sale,” said Toni Earnshaw, president of the Friends of the C. H. Booth Library. “We hope that by 2021 the book sale will be back and better than ever.”
The Friends emphasizes that it still cannot accept donations, nor can the library staff receive items on the Friends’ behalf. Potential donors are kindly requested to hold on to their like-new and gently used books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, and LPs, until such time as the Friends announces the resumption of its operations.
“We appreciate the kind queries sent by potential donors who have used their time at home to revisit their bookshelves,” remarked Denise Kaiser, 2020 book sale chairperson. “Once we’re up-and-running again, we’ll be in a position to welcome your donations. For the moment, however, please hold on to them a bit longer.”

Fortunately, the Friends will still be able to support the library with its annual monetary grant.
