Open Turrets At Military Museum

DANBURY — The Military Museum of Southern New England, at 125 Park Avenue, will host an Open Turret Day on Memorial Day Monday, May 29. The museum will be open from noon to 5 pm, immediately following the Danbury Memorial Day Parade.

The whole family will be able to climb inside the museum’s authentic tanks and other military vehicles during Open Turret Day, which is usually not allowed. Rubber-soled shoes are required for anyone planning to go inside the vehicles.

The museum’s inside galleries and gift shop will also be open on Memorial Day.

Admission is $4 for adults, and $2 for children and seniors. The museum is on Park Avenue, a few miles above Danbury Fair Mall. Call 790-9277 for additional information.
