The Head O' Meadow Elementary School community has been busy for the last couple of weeks making and painting tiles for what will be a Ben's Bells mural at the school.

The school community began crafting tiles under the direction of Ben's Bells Connecticut representatives on May 4. By May 11, the tiles were ready to be painted. When finished, the mural will include the words "Be Kind," and it will be put on display outside of the school.

Ben's Bells' mission, according to bensbells.org, is "to inspire, educate, and motivate people to realize the impact of intentional kindness, and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness, thereby strengthening ourselves, our relationships, and our communities."

One group of second graders worked to paint tiles green on May 11. The tiles will be part of a tree in the mural.
