Please support Eva Bermudez Zimmerman at the Democratic caucus for Newtown's Connecticut's 106th State Representative position. The caucus is on Tuesday, May 24, in the Middle School Auditorium, at 6:30 pm.

Eva brings experience, a positive attitude and an outgoing personality to the table. Her professional experience includes legislation preparation for the US Congress, an 1199 Union Representative, and a prior member of the Newtown Legislative Council. Eva currently, through CSEA Local 2001, represents and organizes municipal and state employees.

As a volunteer, Eva has been involved with Connecticut Public Interest Research Group organizing for environmental interest. She also volunteered for Hartford regional community zoning groups. Eva supports the arts though her efforts with a youth summer program at the Hartbeat Ensemble, a small summer theater.

The Connecticut General Assembly awarded Eva the Latina Citizen of the Year for outstanding activism. She navigated several thousand Connecticut residents to health insurance through the Access Health marketplace.
