How Long in Newtown: I have been a resident of Newtown for 11 years. I grew up in Shelton and lived in various places before moving to Newtown.
Biggest Change Seen in Town: The biggest thing Iâve noticed is the improvement of the Sandy Hook area. Thereâs also a lot more traffic.
Family: I have been married to John Crouch for four years. I have five children, Dean, 29, who is a customer service representative; Danny, 10, and Joey, 7, who attend Sandy Hook Elementary School; Cindy, 4; and Tommy, 3.
Pets: I have a dog, Lucy, and three cats, PJ, Nala, and Copper.
Hobbies: I play chess and love to crochet afghans.
Favorite Books and Authors: I like to read biographies, theyâre my favorite, and true mystery stories. I like books by Ann Rule, who does a lot of stories where people do things for unexplained reasons.
Favorite TV Show: My favorite would be Cheers, even though itâs not on anymore. I like classic TV. I donât like anything thatâs new.
Organizations: I am a member of the Chamber of Commerce and a networking group, Business Networking International.
Most Vivid Memory of Newtown: I really like Treadwell Park. Iâve played tennis there, and the kids like to play on the swings. When I was dating my husband, we went to a movie at Edmond Town Hall. I remember sitting in the balcony. On one of our first dates, we saw Private Benjamin there.
Favorite Vacation Spot: My favorite spot is the New Jersey shore when I canât afford Disney World.
Personal Philosophy: If you want to do it, you can do it. I own my own company and have five kids, four at home. If you donât find a way, itâs not something you really wanted to do.
