Dr Guido A. DeBlasio

 Guido Alfred DeBlasio, MD, 89, of Pelham, N.Y., died on April 18. He was the husband of Patricia DeBlasio, and the father of Robert DeBlasio of Newtown.  

Dr DeBlasio was a practicing surgeon at Mount Vernon Hospital for 40 years. A graduate of Cornell University and Yale Medical School, he served as a major in the Army Medical Corp at Percy Jones Hospital in Battle Creek, Mich., in World War II.

Dr DeBlasio also is survived by a son, John DeBlasio of Pleasantville, N.Y.; and a daughter, Claire (DeBlasio) Foss of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. He was the loving grandfather of Michelle and Nicholas DeBlasio of Newtown, and  Matthew and Amanda DeBlasio, Jennifer and Rebecca, all of New York.

The funeral was held April 21 in Bronxville, N.Y. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery.
