Program On Retirement  Strategies

Joan Bouchard, CLU, ChFC, will present a free workshop, “Retirement Investment Strategies,” on Thursday, June 1, from 6 to 8 pm. The program will be at Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown

Participants at the workshop will learn how to calculate the cost of retirement; understand various tax laws with regard to investments; invest for growth, income and stability; take a balanced approach to investing and achieving goals; determine the long-term allocation of funds that match investing profile; adjust a portfolio to keep pace with inflation; make informed decisions as to which investments best suit their needs; minimize risk and maintain the potential for competitive returns; and prepare for a more comfortable and rewarding retirement lifestyle.

 Those attending the workshop will receive a full color, 20-page workbook on retirement investment strategies, which contains information, exercises and questions to assess the current situation and to help make sound financial decisions. Participants will also be eligible for a complimentary consultation.
