South Park Wolf Pack 4, Bahama Mamas 1 â Zachary Schwartz scored two goals while Evan Arnold and Billy Morrissey added one apiece to pace the âPack past the Mamas. Patrick Keough played strong at forward and Brandon McGuinn anchored the strong defense. Peter Griffiths scored the lone goal for the Mamas while Matt Saxonmeyer and Robby Morlath played good all around.
Breakers 4, Danbury (#2) 2 â Dan Lawrence, Andrew Rothenberg, Bill Simms and Evan Gregoire scored the goals that lifted the Breakers to victory. Danny Cartisano provided a pair of assists.

Rockets 3, Vipers 1 â Ryan Cassidy scored two goals and Sean Federman added a goal and an assist to lead the Rockets. Ben Federman and Michael Cariafello played well. For the Vipers, Morgan Leuzzi had a goal as Brian White,  Travis LeBlanc, Tim Roberts  played well.
Nightmare 2, Eagles 2 â William Little scored both goals, while Nicholas Badiola and Steven Ibanez turned in strong performances in goal to lead the Nightmare. Andy Hsu also had a great game. For the Eagles, Kevin Carney scored both goals, the second with an assist from Thomas Capozziello. Bryan Wicki played a great game in goal and Thomas Murphy played well on offense.
Nightmare 3, Wolverines 2 â William Little scored a pair of goals and Josh Muniz added one to lift the Nightmare. Patrick Shirley, Dan Burnette and Nathanial Burns played well. For the Wolverines, Aaron Nezvesky scored twice and Daniel Hufziger provided an assist. Gregory Campbell and Tommie Stewart had fine performances.
Tigersharks 4, Cobras 0 â Casey Tenney netted goals off passes from Tory Deakin and Christian Gregoire to lead the âSharks to the win. Deakin and Max Eckert had solo goals. Timothy Willmott shut down the Cobra strike with his performance in the goal. For the Cobras, Alec Hooper, Ryan Pearlman, and Matthew Williams all had strong games. Brian Grimes kept the game close in the first half with clutch saves in the goal.

Da Bears 2, Sharpshooters 1 â Lauren Meyer and Catherine Sharman played a great game on offense for Da Bears. Mara Scallon scored the goal for the Sharpshooters and Hannah Deflumeri, Audra Sarna and Matilda Dean played an awesome defensive game. Emily Dutt and Lindsey Yingling were strong on defense for Da Bears.
Panthers 2, Nightmares II 0 â In a fast paced game, Danielle Villa and Kara Brown teamed up for a goal apiece for the Panthers while Molly McNamara and Elena Rose Unshuld combined in goal for the shutout. Amanda Swift played great in goal for the Nightmares and Katie Bloxsom, Michelle Margiaic and Samantha Dinnin provided the additional Nightmare defensive punch.
Blizzard 1, Sharpshooters 0 â Madeline Keane scored the lone goal to lead the Blizzard to the win. Lila Kohrman, Emily Rowe, and Molly Mahony all played well. For the âShooters, Sarah Ferris, Caroline Lawrence and Matilda Dean all had strong performances.
Hurricanes 1, Nightmares 0 â Stephanie Arndt scored off an assist from Nicole Gindraux to lead the Hurricanes to the win. Christie Iorfino and Jennifer Hammer played well. For the Nightmares, Amanda Kloth combined with Virginia Trombini and Kelsey Rahmolan to make 12 saves in net.
Blizzard 1, Mini M&Ms 0 â Ali Korchman scored the lone goal and lifted the Blizzard to the win. Katie Cummings and Stephanie Sanchez played well. For the M&Ms, Meghan Wilson and Katie Holroyd had strong performances.

Terminators 1, Hornets 0 â Frederick Bean scored the lone goal, leading the Terminators to the win. Alex Kelly and Philip Lyon played well. For the Hornets, Michael Schafenberg, Gavin Scallon, and Michael Caldaroni had solid performances.
Electric Eagles 2, Bobcats 1 â Joe Davis and Colin Cooper scored to lift the Eagles past the Bobcats. Matt Villamana and Nathan Norwich worked hard and made solid plays. Ben Stoller scored for the Bobcats while Ricky Fuentes and Dan Gallagher played a great all-around game.
Hawks 3, Nighthawks 1 â Conor Quinn (2) and Nick Gerbo scored to lead the Hawks. Matt Baldino and Colin Moller were solid in the midfield. Johnny Kerins scored for the âHawks while Tanner Sowa and Alex Roach provided support.
Vipers 4, Eagles 1 â Travis LeBlanc had two goals and an assist, Alex Miller had one goal and two assists, and Sam Spiegel had a goal to lead the Vipers to the win. Joe Christiano and George Delia had assists. For the Eagles, Bryan Wick scored a goal with an assist by James Radcliffe.
Thunderbolts 1, Roadrunners 1 â Nick Barreto of the âBolts and Pieter Martino of the âRunners scored the lone goals in a 1-1 tie. For the Roadrunners, Matthew Bolinsky played well on offense with some solid passing, Adam Wruck was strong on defense and Michael Teixeira played very well in goal. For the âRunners, Jimmy Russo and Neil Davis kept the pressure on while Devin DiNicola played great in the net.
Golden Eagles 2, Tigers 2 â Joshua Barrett scored two goals for the Golden Eagles while Adam Elison and Tyler Roberts of the Tigers each put one away in this tightly contested match. Luke Shearin was effective in the net for the Tigers, blocking nine potentials goals. For the Golden Eagles offense, Colin Dutt and Jonah McKeown had strong performances while Peter Kerns was solid in defense.

Tornadoes 4, Blizzard 0 â Kelly Brooks scored two goals as Katie McManus and Emily Cannavo netted a goal apiece to lead the Tornadoes. Jenna Hindes was the backbone of the defense. For the Blizzard, Sarah Cousins, Alison Kron, Amanda Stanton and Michelle Spanedda all played strong games.
Shooting Stars 6, Lightning 2 â Jen VanVeen scored three goals for the Shooting Stars while Nicole Davis added two and Stefanie Clavette contributed one to lead the Stars. Cassie Fallon scored both goals for the Lightning, with great assists by Kelley Gaston and Hannah Maret.
Hotshots 3, Nighthawks 1 â Kelsey Karp scored three goals to lift the Hotshots to the victory. Katie Shirley, Emma Iannini and Zoe Eggleston played outstanding helping to preserve the win. Katie Peters scored the Nighthawkâs goal while Jessica Haitz and Jaclyn Daily played well.
Boys U10
Southbury 3, Strikers 2 â Eric Thornberg and Kyle Wildman scored the goals, but the Strikers fell to Southbury. Strong defensive play came from Patrick Fay, James Truckle and Daniel Lynch.
Brookfield 1, Strikers 0 â There was strong offensive pressure led by Michael Gould, Josh Engler, Nick Wright and Kyle Moore and solid defensive play by Tony Vacaro, Patrick Fay and Kai Aschick..
Strikers 2, Litchfield 2 â Eric Thornberg scored two goals with assists from Kyle Moore and Kai Aschick to lead the Strikers. Strong play came from Nick Wright, Josh Engler and Patrick Fay.
Strikers 2, Middlebury 0 â Daniel Lynch and Eric Thornberg scored and lifted the Strikers past Middlebury. Kyle Moore had an assist. Michael Gould and Tony Vacaro were strong on offense while Ishan Tatake had a spectacular performance in goal.

Watertown 2, Roadrunners 0 â The Roadrunners lost this close match, but played very strong in the first half, beating Watertown to every ball. Sarah Attanasio, Shannon Paproski and Julia Klucik played strong at striker. Kelly Anne Brophy and Jillian Jagoe played great at midfield. Rebecca Jaroszewski anchored the strong defense with Casey Rutter in goal.

Rampage 9, Terryville 0 â Monica Warek scored three goals (one off a corner kick by Kate Bowen) and Chelsea Fay added two to lead the Rampage to the win. Ellen Ritzinger, Laura Bittman, Sara Kelley and Katie Pessin also scored. Laetitia de Brantes, Taylor Smith, Ally Modzelewski and Jordyn Good played well.
Rampage 2, New Milford 0 â Sara Kelley and Chelsea Fay (PK) scored the goals that lifted the Rampage to the win. Kristen Tanner, Kirsten Hudock and Laura Bittman supported the offense while Hannah Basch-Gould and Berenice Bryant anchored the defense in front of goaltender Katie Pessin.

Raptors 3, Southbury (A) 2 â Andy Lapple, Chris McCann and Eric Keogler scored to lead the Raptors. Newtownâs defense dominated the second half with strong performances from Adam Buccino, Benjamin Miles, Kyle Droniak and Jeff DiNicola.
Girls U12
Hurricanes 4, Orange 0 (State Cup) â The Hurricanes advanced to the third round of State Cup with a convincing at Orange. Mary Bloshuk scored two goals while Genna Scheurell and Kasey Schulz each adding a score. Strong midfield play by Haley Keane, Sarah Shannon, and Kelley Sullivan helped the âCanes shut down the Orange offense.
Hurricanes 4, Danbury 0 â Meghan Hansen scored two goals while Kasey Schlulz and Genna Scheuerell scored one goal apiece to lead the Hurricanes. Hard defense by Molly Curry, Emily Weber and Katie Serock shut down the Danbury attack and goaltender Jen Brewer earned the shutout.
Samba U13
Samba 4, Danbury 1 (State Cup) â Anthony Florez scored a pair of goals to lead Samba to the win. Justin Miller and Michael Vontobel provided assists. Danny Smith was superb in goal as Tomi Homannay and Chris Meier helped to anchor the solid Samba midfield with Paul Andras and James Cersonsky adding fuel to the offense.
Samba U14
Beachside 1, Samba 0 (State Cup) â Mark Cinquegrana and Jack Quinn anchored the defense and Brian Conroy and Joe Rahtelli were solid on top, but Samba fell to rival Beachside.
Samba 3, South Central 0 â Brain Conner, Tony Magliocco and Aron Fay scored goals, while Michael Klein played well at midfield and Michael Kennedy turned in a strong defensive effort to lead Samba. Chris Smart was flawless in goal.

The Storm 1, Monroe 0 â Neri Halili scored the lone goal in a win over Monroe. Kevin Davies, Nick Rosa, Ethan Canfield, Justin Carotti and Billy McCann played well.

Girls U14
Nitros 4, Meriden 1 (State Cup) â Kelly Bradley scored two goals and Rachel Maley and Erica Vacaro each added a goal to lead the Nitros. Solid play also came from keeper Caryn Lieberman, Emma Johnson, Kristine Salbu, Allison Bull and Jen Greenwood.
Danbury 3, Nitros 0 â Caryn Lieberman did an awesome job goal keeping and kept Newtown in for much of the game. Â Offensively, Kelly Bradley, Kristine Salbu, Jessica Halloran and Olga Virgalla played well. Defensively, Jen Iassogna, Heather Young, and Meghan Miller had strong games.

Newtown 4, Southbury 1 â Sarah Gutbrod, Lindsay Weber and Sarah Salbu scored to lift Newtown to the win. Emily Fields was strong on defense while Mary Ober and Caitlin Hansen supported the offense.
Newtown 1, West Hartford 0 (State Cup) â A cross from Kayla Mesko found Lindsay Weber in the box for a first-half score that ended up lifting Newtown to the win. Excellent goal-keeping from Kristina Haliskoe and good midfield and offensive play from Rose Jackman and Rachel Eastman helped insure the Newtown win.
