EAST HAVEN â Shore Line Trolley Museum is now open daily for the summer.
Visitors can experience a three-mile ride aboard a vintage trolley over a 103-year-old trolley line winding through a scenic wetland/wildlife preservation area. Trolleys from the museumâs collection dating from 1904 through 1939 offer rides along Americaâs oldest operating suburban trolley line.
Admission includes trolley rides, displays and exhibits (including trolleys that are 100 years or more old), the restoration shop with its 79-year-old wheel lathe, and a shady picnic grove reachable only by trolley.
The first trolley ride departs at 10:30 am and the last trolley ride leaves at 4:30. Museum admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for ages 2-15.
