Teacher Appreciation Week

To the Editor:

Teacher Appreciation Week was celebrated nationwide May 4–10 this year. At Middle Gate School, it was a week of special gifts and treats, wonderful lunches, and lots of pampering that is well deserved of the many teachers, administrators, and staff members.

Middle Gate PTA would like to thank everyone who helped to make it such a memorable week for all. The teachers are still raving about the delicious food, gift baskets, and special treats bestowed upon them.

Thanks to all of the Middle Gate room parents who helped coordinate the daily surprises for the teachers, such as fruit, candy, flowers, and books for the class libraries. Thanks to all of the students who decorated petals for the beautiful sunflowers outside their classrooms and brought in the daily treats. Thanks to all of the parents who donated food, gift certificates, gift baskets, and their time for the delicious luncheon, brunch, and “special treat” days. Everyone did a great job at giving the teachers the recognition they deserve!

Finally, we would like to thank the following local businesses for their generous donations and support: KBM Art Glass Studio, Newtown Car Wash, Newtown Deli and Catering, Newtown Ice Cream Shop, New Wok Restaurant, and Nick’s Restaurant.
