Rick Kasberian went 5-for-5 with two homeruns and five RBI to lead Porco’s Construction to a 19-14 win over Botsford Drive-In in Newtown Sunday Slo-Pitch Softball League action.

Gene Chappell went 4-for-5, Chris Dennis went 3-for-4 with two homeruns and four RBI, and Tim Zeno had a home run while Dave McKee went 2-for-2 to further spark the offense. For Botsford, Bob Green had three hits (two of those homeruns) while Pat Mullen had a homer. Brian Trosan and Matt Gee each had four hits as Bill Kasberian went 3-for-5.

Greenleaf Tree Service scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth to rally past Southbury Printing, 18-17. Mike Festa drove in the game-winning runs. Chad Eaton was 3-for-3 with a homer and five RBI while Kris Nawrocki was 3-for-3 with a homer, two sacrifice flies, and five RBI. CJ Baranowski went 3-for-4 with three RBI and John Pavia homered.

In recent action, Greenleaf defeated G&H Tools as Eaton hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with a homer and two RBI. Nawrocki had a pair of home runs and four RBI while Baranowski was 4-for-5. Joe Lato and Terry O’Connor banged out three hits apiece and Doug Delvecchio homered.

Sunday, May 18

9:15 am – G&H Tools versus Hurd Construction; 10:30 am – Botsford Drive-In versus Greenleaf Tree Service; 12 noon – Thompsonville Furniture versus Southbury Printing.
