Luisa Pavia

Luisa Pavia, 90, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Anthony Pavia, died May 8 in her home with her family by her side.

Born in Faeto, province of Foggia, Italy, on October 21, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Leonarda (Petrucelli) Cavalieri.

She is survived by her devoted children, John Pavia and his wife, Nella, and Michael Pavia and his wife, Rose, all of Newtown, Leonard Pavia and Maria Gallucci, both of Bridgeport, and Ann Tufaro and her husband, Pasquale, of Monroe; a brother, Giuseppe Cavalieri and his wife, Carmella, of Italy; a sister, Maria Cavalieri of Canada; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Giovanni, Nicola, and Luigi Cavalieri and a son-in-law, Alberto Gallucci.

Mrs Pavia immigrated to the United States in 1958 and had since been a resident of Bridgeport. She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress for the Levine Coat Factory.

Funeral Services took place on May 12 from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Raphael Church, 162 Oak Street, Bridgeport. Entombment was in the Garden Mausoleum of St Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
