Lois Mucherino

Lois Mucherino, 75, of Lake Okeechobee, Fla., and formerly of Newtown, died May 14 at Hospice of the Treasure Coast in Fort Pierce, Fla. She was the wife of the late Pat Mucherino.

Mrs Mucherino was born on July 10, 1927, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Sember. Raised in Bridgeport, she moved to Newtown in 1966.

She was a professional barrel racer and horse trainer.

She is survived by three sons, Pat Mucherino, Jr, and his wife, Bernadette, of Bridgeport, Edward L. Mucherino and his wife, Kim, of Lake Okeechobee, Fla., and Randy Mucherino and his wife, Lori, of Suttons Bay, Mich.; five grandchildren, Christie Sierer, Michael Mucherino, Danté Mucherino, Ashley Mucherino, and Randy Mucherino, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Brittney and Lindsey Sierer; a sister, Marie Careddu; and several nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Paradise, and a brother, Michael Sember.

Funeral arrangements will be announced.
