Dr Franklin To Talk About Diabetes

DANBURY –– The Diabetes Club of Danbury, a support group for people with diabetes, their families, and friends, announces a monthly guest speakers program at Danbury Hospital. The next meeting of the Diabetes Club of Danbury takes place on Monday, May 19, from 7:30 to 9 pm.

 The featured guest speaker is Gerald Franklin, MD, Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology. Dr Franklin will discuss “GI Complications of Diabetes.”

The Diabetes Club of Danbury meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Monday of each month (with the exception of July, August, and December). Support group meetings takes place in the back of the cafeteria located on the third floor of the South Building.

 The goal of the free monthly programs is to provide continuous up-to-date information and education regarding the day-to-day management of diabetes. Robert Ruxin, MD, Danbury Hospital Department of Medicine, Section of Internal Medicine, serves as medical director of the Danbury Diabetes Club.
