Chamber Plans Golf Tournament

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will hold a golf tournament and lunch at Newtown Country Club on Thursday, June 19. Registration and lunch are at 11:30 am, with a 1 pm shotgun start.

There is a limit of 60 players in this scramble tournament. There will be prizes and Titleist golf balls for the participants.

The cost of play including golf cart and lunch is $75 per person. Foursomes may sign up or individuals will be matched. Reservations are required and payment must be submitted with the registration. To register, send checks payable to Newtown Chamber of Commerce to Joseph Humeston, 8 Jeremiah Road, Sandy Hook 06482. Include telephone numbers and name of contact person. Registration deadline is June 6.

Payment includes the Thursday, June 18, Business After Hours from 5:30 to 7:30 pm following the golf tournament. Golfers and nongolfers are invited. Chamber members attend free; nonmembers, $10. The Business After Hours will be sponsored by Newtown Savings Bank and Curtis Packaging Corporation.
