Panel For Adult Children

With Aging Parents

SOUTHBURY — Think about it: many adults are more comfortable talking to their kids about safe sex than they are speaking with their aging parents about end of life issues. How to talk about aging issues and what really matters is the theme when two generations of adults are invited to attend a free program called “Can We Talk?” on Wednesday, May 20 from 6 to 7:30 pm.

Four distinguished panelists will discuss important issues related to aging and end of life and strategies on how to improve communication in your own family. The panelists include Casey Ott, MD; Debbie Ryan, MSW, LCSW, Regional Hospice; Rabbi Eric Polokoff of B’Nai Israel in Southbury; and Fr Richard Bollea, coordinator of pastoral care at Waterbury Hospital.

The program takes place at the Jewish Federation, 444 Main Street North and is sponsored by Brownstein Jewish Family Service and Regional Hospice in Danbury. Seating is limited.

For more information or to register, call 267-3177, extension 105.
