NEW MILFORD â New Milford Cycles, locally owned and operated for 20 years, is celebrating its fifth anniversary under the ownership of Jim Castelot and Carl Kaffeman. To mark this anniversary, the owners will host an open house that benefits the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.
The open house runs Saturday, May 16, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy sells bracelets at the event to benefit the organization.
New Milford Cycles will match the dollar amount collected from the bracelet sales to also benefit the nonprofit organization.
The event is open to the public and includes a free barbeque with beverages courtesy of New Milford Cycles. Merchandise giveaways occur throughout the day. All attendees are eligible to win giveaways as long as they are available.
The Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1994 by parents of children with Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy. For more information on the project, visit www.parentprojectmd.org.
