Conn. Gas Prices In Up 25 Cents In Past Month
(AP) â The price of gasoline in Connecticut has gone up for the fourth straight month, jumping 25 cents.
The AAA survey released Tuesday shows the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $2.38, up from $2.13 in April. A year ago the price in the state was $3.94 a gallon.
The price for diesel fuel continues to go down. AAA says diesel fuel in Connecticut is down two cents from last month to $2.60 a gallon.
Nationally, the average price of gas has increased 20 cents in the past month to $2.25 a gallon. A year ago the national average was $3.72.
AAA surveys more than 1,000 gas stations in Connecticut and nearly 100,000 stations nationwide to determine the average prices.
