Ambulance Group Slates Medical Training

The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps (NVAC) is accepting registrations from the public for medical certification training in the American Heart Association’s program known as Basic Life Support Health Provider.

The training focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and also on automatic external defibrillation (AED).

The five-hour course will grant individual certifications for providing such medical care to adults, children, and infants. The fee, which is payable to NVAC, is $50.

The class will be held at the ambulance group’s training facility at 31 Peck’s Lane from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, June 6.

People who want to take the course should register on the ambulance group’s Internet website at www.newtownambulancect.org.

For information about the course, call 270-4380 and leave a message for Stuart, who will return the call.
