What’s Happening To Our Park?

To the Editor:

I was looking for information on what is going on at Dickinson Park, and I found your comment on fecal matter in the play area. [“No-So-Fun Space,” Letter Hive, 5/7/10.] That is terrible! And I’ve seen people not watch their kids too! But as a mother of two small kids, who I’m on top of the whole time I’m there, I’m very upset with this park!

What are they doing with the two large mud holes! They tore up the tennis courts and basketball courts and have done nothing! Not real safe for kids to be around! And if we want to talk about the actual castle play place, it is terrible! The bridge has been broken for years and is terribly dangerous! I was over in Bethel at a park and a piece of the play place broke. Someone came within ten minutes to fix it. What is happening to our park!? For the amount of taxes we pay, our parks could at least not be a danger zone for kid!
